ValueFind is an innovative online comparison shopping Web site that helps you find the best values for millions of products in more than 25 categories. We search over 11,000 trusted merchants to find the best values available, allowing you to find and buy exactly what you need without spending valuable time sifting through countless Web sites. Plus, with our "Ask for It!" feature, we take it a step further by allowing you to locate products that meet the specifications that are most important to you. In a nutshell, YOU define what constitutes a value! For any given category, you can make a request to purchase an item at a particular price or with any perks you might want, such as free shipping or free gift wrap. Sellers can then offer you the product, propose changes to your request, or reject the request.

How is ValueFind different from other comparison shopping sites?
If you're happy with the price and perks you find, you can go straight to the seller's secure Web site to purchase the item. But if you don't see the price or perks you want, this is where ValueFind goes above and beyond other comparison shopping sites.

Simply click Ask for It! to specify the value that's most important to you. This could be a lower price, but you can also ask for free shipping, overnight shipping, group or volume discounts, free gift wrap, a money-back guarantee, pre-assembly, a used or demo model, and more. Our network of sellers will then compete for your business by either accepting your request or responding with their own offers — in this way, you make the sellers come to you! It's the easiest and highest-value shopping you'll ever do!

How do I buy something?
Begin by searching for an item or clicking the Browse button at the top of our pages to find the product you want. If you're happy with the price and other terms, you can get "Instant Gratification" by going straight to the seller's secure Web site and completing your purchase.

If you don't see the price or perks you want, click the Ask for It! button to submit a request for price, quantity, and perks (i.e. free shipping, quantity discount, etc.). In this request, you can include a message to the seller and a time limit for the seller to respond. Your request will then be sent to any sellers who may sell the item you want to purchase. (Note: If you are not logged in, you will have to log in or register to use the "Ask for It!" feature.)

Once your request has been sent, you can sit back and let the sellers come to you. When sellers respond, review their offers and their ratings and reviews (if any) to determine which to choose. Some sellers may accept your request as-is, while others may accept it with proposed changes or reject it altogether. If you receive multiple offers, you can purchase from multiple sellers. This is a good option if you need larger quantities than are available from any one seller.

To make a purchase, just click the Purchase button next to the seller(s) you have chosen. Each seller will display their accepted payment methods. Note that the sellers will impose a time limit — anywhere from 10 minutes to 3 days — on the allotted period to complete a transaction. Once you make a purchase, you will not receive any additional offers from sellers.

Once the transaction is complete and you've received the item, you are encouraged to leave feedback for the seller(s).

What is the "Ask for It!" feature?
This is another way in which ValueFind goes above and beyond traditional comparison shopping sites. If you don't see the price or perk you want, just click Ask for It! to submit a request (i.e. "ask") for price, quantity, and perks (such as free shipping, quantity discount, free gift wrapping, a money-back guarantee, pre-assembly, a used or demo model, etc.). Sellers will then compete for your business by either accepting your request as-is or proposing changes. You are under no obligation to accept a seller's offer. The "Ask for It!" feature allows you to define your own best value—and get it!

I submitted an "Ask for It!" request but received no responses. Why?
Sellers are not obligated to reply to "Ask for It!" requests. You are more likely to receive offers from sellers if you request a fair price that is not too far below the product's actual market value. If you do not receive any responses or offers, you can try again with a different price and/or selection of perks. Alternately, you can purchase the product at the specified price by clicking the See It! button next to the seller; this will take you straight to their secure Web site, where you can place your order.

How do I pay for an item after making a purchase?
Your method of payment will vary depending on whether you are purchasing the item using "Instant Gratification" or the "Ask for It!" feature. When you use the "Ask for It!" feature, the seller will display their accepted payment methods, such as PayPal and/or credit cards. If you prefer "Instant Gratification", you will go directly to the seller's Web site and purchase the item using the payment methods offered by the seller. In either case, you will pay the seller directly; no funds are collected by ValueFind.

What if there is a problem with my order or I need additional information or advice?
ValueFind does not sell anything directly to shoppers. Once we have helped you find a seller who offers the best values on your products, it is your responsibility to handle any issues that arise with the seller. If you have a problem with an order or need additional information or advice, you should contact the seller from which you made your purchase or the manufacturer of the product.

To contact an "Ask for It!" seller, log in and click the Contact Seller link next to your order on the My Orders page. Alternately, you can access "Ask for It!" seller contact information on the ValueFind order summary page.

If you prefer "Instant Gratification", you can contact the seller through their own Web site.

How do I request a refund?
Payments are sent directly to the sellers — ValueFind does not handle sales of items, receive payments, or ship items. To request a refund for a purchase, you must contact the seller of your transaction.

"Ask for It!" sellers are responsible for issuing refunds and resolving issues. To contact an "Ask for It!" seller, log in and click the Contact Seller link next to your order on the My Orders page. "Ask for It!" seller contact information is also available on the ValueFind order summary page.

If you prefer "Instant Gratification", you can contact the seller through their own Web site to request a refund.

Is it safe to purchase items on ValueFind?
ValueFind is committed to offering a highly secure shopping environment — your safety and privacy are always our top priorities. After each purchase, the buyer is encouraged to enter a rating for the seller; this allows buyers to review all feedback and comments before entering into a transactional agreement. We also recommend that you review the seller's policies on shipping, payments, and returns.

If Using "Ask for It!": All "Ask for It!" sellers are required to obtain a seal of approval or trust mark from a reputable trust certification authority, such as BBBOnLine or TRUSTe, to verify their credibility and reputation. When using "Ask for It!", you will be dealing with only established merchants instead of individual sellers, minimizing your transactional risk.

In the rare event that an issue arises, you also have the option of filing a complaint with the individual payment service. For PayPal purchases, you can file a buyer complaint within 45 days. For credit card purchases, you can contact your bank or credit card company to request a charge back.

How do I set up a Price Alert?
If you have a maximum price you are willing to pay for an item, you can set up a price alert that will notify you when that item drops below a specified target price. To set an alert, simply click Notify me when prices drop on the product page and then enter your target price. If you are not logged in, you will be prompted to log in or register for a buyer account.

Once the alert has been set up, you will be notified via email when the item drops below your target price. You can also log into your account to see the status of your Price Alerts.

Can I save my favorite items?
Yes. If you are not sure what you want to buy or you want to track the price of an item to ensure the best value, ValueFind's Favorites feature lets you save items for future purchase. Just click the Add to Favorites link on the product page. If you are not logged in, you will be prompted to log in or register for a buyer account. To view your Favorites and see the price changes for each of the items, log into your account and click My Favorites.

How does selling on ValueFind work?
Selling on ValueFind is very easy, especially when using our "Ask for It!" feature.

Start by telling us which product categories you want to sell in (i.e. Computers, Electronics, Flowers & Gifts, etc.). You simply choose one or more categories—there's no need to upload complicated product feeds.

Next, we will send you "Ask for It!" requests from buyers who want to purchase items in your chosen categories. The requests will include the price they want to pay for an item, the quantity, any perks that they want (i.e. free shipping, used or refurbished, free gift wrap, etc.), an optional personal message, the time limit for responding, and their location. You will also have the opportunity to see the buyer's previous purchasing history.

Once you have received a request, you can either accept it as-is, accept the request with proposed changes, reject the request, or ignore it altogether. All correspondence is only seen by you and the prospective buyer, so you can safely offer special perks and/or discounts without compromising other purchase paths.

If you choose to accept or accept with changes, you will also enter the shipping and handling charges, the estimated delivery time, an optional personal message, and the time limit for the buyer to accept your offer. You can also upload your own photos of the item. It's important to act quickly: if the buyer accepts another seller's offer, you will no longer be able to send your offer.

If the buyer accepts your offer and makes payment using one of your accepted payment methods, you will be notified of the completed transaction and can safely fulfill the order.

I am a merchant — how do I become a ValueFind seller?
Selling on ValueFind gives you the ability to compete on value instead of price if you choose — a real benefit for smaller merchants. It's easy for independent merchants to start selling on ValueFind. There are no up-front costs or time-consuming data feeds — you don't even have to upload any products!
